Drift-Away Escape @ Big Powderhorn Village in Bessemer, Michigan

We loved our stay at Drift-Away. The home was very clean and comfortable. The area is beautiful and quiet, but not secluded as there are neighbors in close proximity. The neighbors were all friendly and respectful. We saw various wildlife every day whether we were walking or driving. Our favorite beach was just 20 minutes away. We just loved the slower pace of life here. We had illness and a death in our family in the middle of our stay so, unfortunately, we had to leave early. Amanda was very gracious and understanding during a difficult time and we were so thankful. We would absolutely love to come back in the future.

We had a blast at Amanda’s place during spring break! The location was perfect. It was easy to walk less than a block to the beach. There were two piers and multiple restaurants within walking distance. Grocery stores, go carts, boat rentals, and the space center were short drives away. Watching the rocket launches from the rooftop balcony was unforgettable. The bedrooms, living areas, and kitchen were all well-equipped and comfortable. We loved our warm evenings with the hot tub and fire pit. Everything was toddler friendly and teen friendly! We will cherish the memories made here for decades to come. Many thanks for the amazing vacation!

We had a fantastic stay! The location was perfect, just minutes from Powderhorn Mountain. The place was clean, well-stocked, and had everything we needed. Amanda was friendly and proactive. Highly recommend!

Host was very communicative, and check in instructions were easy to follow. The place was spotless, well stocked and well designed. We appreciated the nice touches with the k-cups and games to play. We had a great stay, and would book again!

This house was so peaceful! Right around the corner from the beach! Amanda provides 3 different outdoor bins filled with toys and other necessities for the beach! Amanda is so helpful and kind! I debated on whether to stay here or not and I’m glad I picked this place and so are my kids! Amanda builds a sense of community for her guests! Totally worth the stay! Thanks again Amanda!

While in Bessemer working for the week I wanted a nice clean place I could stay at and cook my own meals. I’m very particular about where I stay as I like things clean, orderly and kept up maintenance wise. The place looked like the pictures on airbnb and was kept very clean and tidy. Building is a little older and shows its age in some areas but all in all was a good place. Amanda was very proactive and gave a lot of information before checking in. I would recommend to others and stay there again if the need arises in the future.

Exceptional visit to a peaceful getaway, wish I could have stayed a month. Probably the cleanest Airbnb I have rented. I especially enjoyed the 3 level vertical design of this Villa, complete with outdoor, balcony, and rooftop access on each floor. And of course, the 2 minute walk to the beach. Simply, perfect. Loved the proximity to the beach and the comfortable outdoor seating! A wonderful place to relax away from the winter in the north. Amanda was very responsive as we had a slight issue with beach chairs. She took care of our concern promptly which made our stay even better. Thank you, Amanda!

Wonderfully updated 3 bedroom, 2 full baths condo was perfect for our family of 5 adults, in town for a long ski weekend. Super convenient location - stone's throw to Big Powderhorn Mt. We appreciated the kitchen stocked with coffee, hot cocoa & spices and the (new to us) games to play. We would definitely book here again!
